Joseph E. Polenzani was born May 21, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from the John Marshall Law School, he was admitted to the practice of law in the State Illinois in 1987. He served as a senior assistant state's attorney in Lake County, Illinois from 1987 through 1992. During that time he was responsible for prosecuting criminal cases ranging from DUIs to all types of felonies, including white-collar and felony drug cases.
Joseph has an extensive litigation practice consisting of criminal defense, (including, DUI/traffic/motor vehicle accidents and all classes of misdemeanors and felonies), personal injury and worker's compensation. He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association and is a member of the Criminal Law Committee. Joe is also a member of the Illinois State and American Bar Associations and the Lake County Justinian Society.
Joseph resides in Waukegan, Illinois with his wife and two children. He is the current vice-president of the St. Anastasia School Board and is also serving as the legislative liaison for St. Anastasia Parish. Joe is an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching youth athletics.
